A Very Kerri Christmas 6 - 2010

I liked last year's cover better, but what can ya do.  I'm running out of ideas ;)

  1. I Wish It Was Christmas Today - Julian Casablancas.  A great take on an SNL classic.
  2. Tiny Tree Christmas - Guster.  Target put out a free Christmas CD to download from their website of all the Christmas songs from their commercials.  This was my favorite before I even knew it was Guster.  I love that a bunch of Jewish guys make some awesome Christmas music.
  3. Shake Up Christmas - Train.  I heard this song in a radio commercial and loved it - it's a nice, upbeat Christmas song.
  4. Boots - The Killers.   Another winner for their fifth annual Christmas single.  I put this one somewhere below Don't Shoot Me Santa and somewhere above Joseph, Better You Than Me.
  5. Electronic Santa - Blazer Force
  6. Christmas Was Better In The 80s - The Futureheads.  Lot of truth to that.
  7. Wish List - Neon Trees.  Leaving aside my classic repeat final track, this is my favorite Christmas track from 2010 - an iTunes freebie "Christmas single of the week" gold mine!
  8. Everything Is One Big Christmas Tree - The Magnetic Fields
  9. It's Christmas - Coconut Records
  10. Mistletoe - Jukebox the Ghost
  11. Last Christmas - Florence + the Machine
  12. Little Drummer Boy - The Dandy Warhols
  13. Got Something For You - Best Coast, Wavves
  14. 10,000 Watts - Crystal Antlers
  15. Christmas Isn't Christmas - The Boy Least Likely To
  16. Snow Is Falling - Darker My Love
  17. Fairytale of New York - Dustin Kensrue.  The original is a classic, and Dustin definitely took some liberties with rewriting one of the verses to make it more "family friendly", but I just love this man's voice so, so, soooo much.
  18. Splitting up Christmas - Kevin Devine.  No explanation necessary.
